Q: I am the administrator of my companies Siemens Hicom 300 phone system. When I arrived at work this morning I discovered that none of our incoming calls are routing to the correct agent. I tested and found that the calls are going to our after-hours route. I also noticed that the time and date is incorrect on our phones. What could be causing this and how do I fix it?
A: It is possible that your Hicom 300 system experienced a power outage over the weekend, causing the system to reload and resulting in an incorrect date and time. If the new date and time are outside your normal business hours, all of your incoming calls will follow the after-hours route you have setup. To change the date and time in your Hicom 300 system:
- Access the system with your RSCA user logon, and logon password
- Select Direct AMO dialog from the RSCA Main Menu
- At the command prompt enter: dis-date
- You will be prompted to enter the YEAR, MONTH, DAY, HOUR (military time), MINUTE, & SECONDS (ok to enter 00)
- Enter current information at each prompt
You should see a `STARTED’ and a `COMPLETED’ message for the change completion. You should verify that the date and time is now correct by displaying the current date and time as performed above.
